Jeff Vreeland, (b. 1978, Largo, Florida) lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from the University of South Florida, Tampa with a degree in Art Education and earned his Master of Fine Arts from the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee, Scotland.

His work uses iconography as a catalyst for phenomenological interpretation, meaning and reinterpretation. The abstracted deconstruction of Vreeland’s paintings explores an underlying tension between a lifelong curiosity of theological interpretations and theoretical physics, and how they similarly attempt to rationalize natural phenomena.

Jeff has exhibited internationally and his work has been included in numerous private collections. He is currently Studio Manager for Mickalene Thomas.
